Hello friends today I am going to tell you about Game Cache..
What is game cache and How to use it in your android phone ?
Many of you , on seeing Game Cache with a game leave the game and think who will download this Game cache , what will happen if it will not work ,my 150-200 MB will be wasted .. So I will not download the game.....

So today I will tell you What is Game Cache? ,Why is it needed and How to use it ?



so starting with ---
What is game Cache
Cache is a part of game that consist of Music, Videos and Image, usually large files.We need it to run the game properly. Usually users don't want to download such big file in one go so they can download the game and game cache separately .


How to use it ??

 For better understanding I am taking example of an Android game CSR racing

Size:- Game (35.2 MB) and Cache (117.1 MB)

so



For this game you need to download the game and game cache (I am attaching the download links)

Cache (Download link)
Credits for game -android.mob.org

Cache Directory- For this game the directory for the cache is  [ sdcard/Android/obb ] , For different games this will be different, the directory is usually given in the Game description

 1- So you have to download the Game and cache to your pc 
2- Install the game 
3- Copy the cache (ZIP) file to your phone
4- Now you have to use File Explorer to extract the cache to the specified directory (you can use any File explorer as - (Xplore)
5- Open the "obb" folder, where you've extracted the cache archive. There would be a folder (1353608252_com.gameloft.android.anmp.gloftzrhm) with subfolder (com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftZRHM). Move the subfolder (com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftZRHM) and its contents to the "obb" folder, and delete the remaining empty folder (1353608252_com.gameloft.android.anmp.gloftzrhm)
6- That's all. Now you can play the game

 Errors
1- If the game asks for additional files to download that means you have put the Cache in wrong directory

Note:- When you Remove the game the cache is not deleted automatically you have to delete it manually

    Hi Vikrant,

    I have Samsung Galaxy Core with Jelly Bean 4.1.2. I tried to install Asphalt 7 after downloading from torrent. It contained 2 files- com.gameloft.android.GAND.GloftA7HP and Asphalt 7.apk. I installed the apk file, after that I moved the com. folder to SdCard0>Android>Data folder, Then I tried to run the game from the Game icon, but it is showing downloading options. There is no folder named obb.

      Ok you have downloaded it from here, I guess http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/7475736/Asphalt_7_Heat_for_Android_with_SD_files

      According to the Up loader the directory for the game i.e sdcard/android/data is correct.. see that you have copied the "com.gameloft.android.GAND.GloftA7HP" folder to sdcard/android/data ,not the files of the folder ....

      so try copying the whole folder and run the game, the game should run correctly but after that if the problem persists may be the apk file has some problem or the SD card files have some problem ....
      Tell me if any other problem persists

      hmm.. Install the apk file and copy other files to the directory provided by the game ..

      generally sdcard\Android\data ....
      try it . and reply .. :)

      This is the place where I got it from
      This is what i did, please read what I did and see what I did wrong.

      I downloaded both files to my phone's sdcard and used winzip from playstore to unzip othe zip one to sdcard/android/obb inside the zip file is only an obb file

      I install the apk file which I moved to my internal memory and it says error occurred. I did what you said to make a new folder named obb inside data and paste it there but when I start the game it said error occurred. I am so lost right now please help me

      I did it on the samsung galaxy s3 mini if that helps.

      APK is only for installation .. you don't have to put it anywhere ..

      you have downloaded it from Android mob.. see there the comments are saying that you need your device rooted to run this game properly ...

    i downloaded minion rush the apk and the chace and make the obb folder, and isntal the apk but when iplay it says you donthave enough space to download 79mb

      Ok .. Firstly check that you have put the cache in the correct directory after that ensure more than 79MB space in your device and try and Reply...

    Just downloaded Chaos Rings.It had an .apk and a .obb file.The directory of the game was sdcard/android/obb.I did,nt have an obb folder,so i made one.It starts and show a japanese logo-thingy,and then gives "a file check and a download is required".It got stuck at Under Download after that.Tried to put it in the sdcard/Android/data folder but then it did,nt even give a lingo,just got straight to downloading and getting stuck.So,what should i do? :/

    I downloaded asphalt 7 from http://android.mob.org/game/asphalt_7_heat.html
    and after extracting it i copied the files to sdcard/android/obb . The same i did with Real football 2013 , RF13 isn't working too. Except this all games are working . I'm having Sony xperia s , 4.0.3 android version . Please help me what should i do

      Check the cache is extracted correctly . Usually the game cache has name com.**** but if it's not check the website from where you have downloaded it .

      Hello Rohit, you don;t have to put obb file because obb is a folder present inside sdcard/Android .SO you have to copy what ever file you get after extracting the game cache to sdcard/android/obb folder

    I want to play Asphalt 5 on my Samsung Galaxy Star S5282..........I downloaded apk and data and put data folder named "asphalt5" in directory created by game - "sdcard/gameloft/games".......when i start game it says -- " An SD card with at least 1mb free is required in order to download new content....I connect to internet but nothing happens....Please help

      Hello Lovepreet.... As you say that there are no sub folder after extracting the cache file . Check whether some files are there or not may be some error has occurred during the download or Extraction of the ZIP ....Check the size of the extracted folder that must be around 117MB to check that all files are there ..Check these things and then tell whether it works or not ..

    I've downloaded RF 2013 to my Rooted Galaxy S3 mini, and have extracted the archieve to sdcard/Android/obb
    Game keeps loading for so long without opening every time i try to launch....

    Archieve location is...
    sdcard/Android/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftR3HM
    with....''main.1060.com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftR3HM.obb'' as the archieve

    Pls,is that the right procedure or location,?....game keeps loading always as if it is downloading something but the archieve is the same as it is and no new archive is created anywhere....Pls Help....

      hmmm as I can see the game cache destination for Real Footbal 2013 ..... see I have never used this game so I don't know the problem that causes continuous loading ........You should google it or check it from where you have download ....

      The procedure and location both are absolutely correct..

      yes after the game cache you just have to download the base apk for the game... yes you can do the extraction using any archiver on your PC .. :)

      for putting the files to the location you don't need rooting.... Some apps and games require the phone to be rooted so that they can use and change system at it most .. so It's game specific that you need your phone rooted or not .... :)

      while installing you must be getting the dialogue box asking for for where to install the app, you just need to select your internal storage at the time of installation .. :)

    Hmm. and the answer to your problem:
    I want to tell you that In android OS external sd cards are named as extsdcard and internal storage as SDcard0 as default ,....
    the game cache goes to the obb folder inside the android folder and android folder exist inside the Internal memory of the device...

    You need to look for the Android/obb inside the Internal storage of your device ...

    I wanted to play Asphalt 8 on my LG G2 32GB, Jelly Bean 4.2.2 with cache. I downloaded the cache from http://android.mob.org/download/a6916.html and extracted it to android/obb folder. I downloaded apk from http://android.mob.org/download/a6915.html and http://android.mob.org/download/a8181.html I tried installing both apk versions but both are asking for downloading cache through WiFi which I've already put into the obb folder. Downloading 1.5 GB then its not working, its really frustrating as it took 4 hours to download. Please help out...

    Does this game require my phone to be rooted? When I extracted the files on my PC there was only one file and not those you have mentioned. Am I doing something wrong? This is the only file to I see once extracted (main.2897.com.naturalmotion.csrracing.obb).

    i have downloaded rayma:fiesta run APK file and its cache from android.mob.org
    and i extracted and put it in android/data or andoid/obb folders (tried several times as mentioned in ur post) .But the application still asks to download content from internet.i put apk file in sd card.Pls help fast.IF i have to root it, please explain what it is and how to do it and if any damage it can cause.
    It has cost me 150 MB of data download and numerous google searches.I would be grateful if u don't let it go waste.THank You

      see you need to see the page from where you have downloaded it to know whether you need your phone rooted or not because there are a lot of games and I can't remeber the requirements of all the games....

      Regarding your second question if you root your phone the main problem that will be caused is you will loose the warranty of your phone.. After rooting if you mess with your phone then yes it can cause serious problem to your phone but rooting alone will not cause a serious problem....

    hello sir, can I ask you something? i have an oppo find way, with 1 gb system and 14 gb internal, with no slot for SD card. I downloaded brave frontier game and the game stores the data in the /data/data. my question is, can i move apps stored in data/data? because it ate up my system with ridiculously 300mb only for the game. thanks in advance!

      No If you want to play the game it needs to be on its place .. on moving you can save the space but if you have to play you will need to put that again to its original position ...

    Hello vikrant,
    Firstly, thank you for this info and these files. I wanted to ask that if we dont install the cache and just install the apk and run the app and download the contents through the app:
    1. What will be the diff. Between the game play of cache and dlc
    2. If I Uninstall the app do I have to delete the dlc manually which I installed through the app.

      see that the game needs root access or not ..... if it needs access then use super SU binaries and try playing the game ....... and please check that the directory is correct or not (Check the site from where you have downloaded the game)

      Try pasting the files in side the obb folder... I can elaborate if you tell me the type of the files after extraction ... check that the directory for the cache is correct (Get it from the site you have downloaded the game )

      i guess you have installed the game .. as you are saying that it's asking for the files to download . Simply copy the game cache folder from your friend's mobile to your phone ( That can be done by copying them to memory card and then to your phone's cache folder or using Shareit to get the files and then pasting them in the directory)...

      that's it .. you just have to copy the game files inside the obb folder of the game to your's .....

    Hi! first thank you for your post, which obviously helped a lot of people for many years now! :)
    Mujhe lagta hai ke mera game kabhi nahi khelsekhonga... I have downloaded many versions of the first Chaos Rings game, each with the proper cache files.. I did everything as mentioned : copied the folder (not the zip or rar file) of the cache in the obb folder and installed the apk. I did it with every different apk/cache. Every single time the application crashed.. Yaar kya karon? I installed Chaos Rings 2 and 3 the same way and it plays perfectly.. But it doesn't work with any of the chaos rings 1 or omega files so I don't understand why.. I'm not stupid I did the same thing I did for Chaos Rings 2 and 3, many times, restarted the tablet too, nothing works. I have a Nexus 9 tablet, but I tried on my Sony Xperia Z3 too, same problem. When I open the game, nothing appears but a "Chaos RingsGP has stopped"..

      You don't need PC to paste the cache files, you can use any file manager that can extract the game cache zip and then paste it to the destination using the same file manager, and that too when you are downloading game and cache separately .
